Family:
My sister and I are very close and really enjoy hanging out
with each other. We are fairly close in age, so we have a lot
in common, share some of the same friends and have always gotten along very well. Our personalities are complete opposites, but that makes for a better friendship.
My parents are wonderful people. They have always been very supportive of whatever I have wanted to do and they have really helped me get to where I am today.
How I started playing golf: I was involved in gymnastics from the age of 2 ½ until I was 13. I had reached level 10 in gymnastics and decided that I wanted to try other sports. I joined swim team, took horseback riding lessons, a few tennis lessons, and began playing golf with my dad. I would come home from the course everyday frustrated because I wanted to hit it as far as my dad, but this ultimately is what got me addicted to golf. I wanted to be the best, and I was not going to settle for anything less.
In high school I played volleyball, basketball, was a member of the state championship dance team, and was the first female golfer to compete at the state tournament all 4 years. By the end of high school I was not fully convinced that I wanted to play college golf, but when the University of Idaho called me and offered me a scholarship I figured it was a great opportunity to meet new people and have college partially paid for.
During my 4 years of collegiate golf I met wonderful people and got to travel to great places. I worked very hard and was fortunate to be successful in winning 6 collegiate golf tournaments, qualify for Regionals 3 times, and be named Big West Golfer of the Year in 2003. College golf was one of the best times of my life.
